INSTRUCTIONS

This section has eight (8) items that involve manipulating shapes by turning them, changing their sizes, changing their color, and increasing or decreasing their number. Each item begins with a shape (or shapes) and asks you to manipulate them according to the symbols explained below. You are to indicate how the shape (or shapes) will appear when the instructions for manipulation are followed. Study the key to understand the meaning of the manipulation symbols. The key also appears on the page that follows to aid you in solving the items. Here is an example to help you understand these items. Select the answer a, b, c, d, or e, that shows how the figure will appear when it has been manipulated according to the instruction.s Example a b c d e Solution: The correct response is c. Start with the triangular shape and shrink it, rotate it 90° clockwise and change its color. When you do, it will appear as the shape in answer c. Do the following sample.
